This was my first attempt at setting up studio lights and I was kind of worried that it was going to be complicated, but it's not at all. It only took about 10 minutes to get everything set up. The equipment is very lightweight, which kind of worries me that it might not hold up after time, but at $69.99, you can't really complain. That's a hell of a deal for three studio lights and a carrying case! This is a great starter kit for those of you on a tight budget. My next investment is going to be on a flash kit. I've got my eye on THIS one.
I was kind of disappointed that the equipment didn't produce super bright light. It was kind of dim, actually. I had to move the light stand right in front of each item in order to provide sufficient lighting to the clothing. It ended up working out okay, but I had to crop out the lighting equipment in some of the photos.
This is definitely a learning experience for me. I've needed studio lights for quite some time now and I am so thankful that I'm finally able to photograph Superstition Vintage (and my Shop My Closet) items whenever I want. Day or night! Here are some of the shots that I got with this lighting kit:
