Seriously though, I love my Sparco tattoo more than any other tattoo that I have. Most of my other tattoos don't have a whole lot of meaning behind them. My sleeves, for the most part, were chosen because I liked the artwork, and I'm totally fine with that. But this tattoo is different. It means so much to me and it's even more special because my tattoo artist, Jayare, my husband, also had a close relationship with Sparco.
Jayare and I began brainstorming tattoo ideas shortly after Sparco passed away. I knew that I wanted a portrait, but I wanted it to be colorful and I wanted it to make me smile. We decided that Sparco should be part person (see the human hand?) and we wanted him to be holding a trash can, since trash was his favorite snack...next to cockroaches, that is! (Oh, we included a couple of those in the tattoo as well!). Sparco was the Cuddle King so of course we had to include a crown. What do you guys think??
Sparco, on his 10th birthday.
